Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 50 ml freshly brewed espresso Let it cool slightly before using.
  • 25 ml hazelnut liqueur Use a brand you enjoy.
  • 25 ml white rum
  • 15 ml sugar syrup Optional based on sweetness preference.
  • ice cubes More ice will result in a colder, frothier drink.
  • a few whole hazelnuts For garnish, optional.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Brew a shot of fresh espresso and let it cool slightly.
  2. In a cocktail shaker, add the cooled espresso, hazelnut liqueur, white rum, and sugar syrup (if using).
  3. Fill the shaker with ice cubes.
  4. Put the lid on the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds.
  5. Using a strainer, pour the mixture into a chilled martini glass.
  6. Garnish with whole hazelnuts or sprinkle some coffee grounds on top if desired.
  7. Serve and enjoy your Hazelnut Rum Espresso Martini!

Notes

This cocktail is best enjoyed fresh. Store leftover ingredients separately in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week. Freezing the cocktail is not recommended.
