Preparation
- Brew a shot of fresh espresso and let it cool slightly.
- In a cocktail shaker, add the cooled espresso, hazelnut liqueur, white rum, and sugar syrup (if using).
- Fill the shaker with ice cubes.
- Put the lid on the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds.
- Using a strainer, pour the mixture into a chilled martini glass.
- Garnish with whole hazelnuts or sprinkle some coffee grounds on top if desired.
- Serve and enjoy your Hazelnut Rum Espresso Martini!
Notes
This cocktail is best enjoyed fresh. Store leftover ingredients separately in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week. Freezing the cocktail is not recommended.
