Main Ingredients
  • 5 pieces eggs
  • 1 cup half and half Can be substituted for whole milk for a lighter dish.
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups cooked diced ham Leftover ham works well.
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese Can substitute with Swiss or Gruyère.
  • 1/4 cup green onions, sliced
  • 1 9-inch pie crust Use a pre-made crust for convenience.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, half and half, salt, and pepper until combined.
  3. Stir in the ham, cheese, and onions to the egg mixture.
  4. Place the pie crust into a 9-inch pie pan, crimping the edges.
  5. Pour the egg mixture into the pie crust.
  6. Bake for 40-50 minutes until edges are browned and eggs are set.
  7. Allow the quiche to set for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve warm, at room temperature, or cold. Slices can be accompanied by a side salad or fresh fruit.
