Main Ingredients
  • 4 cups cubed watermelon Use ripe watermelon for the best taste.
  • 2 cups water Divided into 1 cup for blending and 1 cup for adjusting consistency.
  • 1/4 cup lime juice Freshly squeezed for best flavor.
  • 1-3 tablespoons honey (optional) Adjust based on sweetness preference.
  • 1-3 tablespoons powdered monkfruit sweetener (optional) Use for a low-carb version.
  • 1-3 tablespoons sugar (optional) Use to sweeten if desired.
  • A few drops liquid Stevia (optional) For a no-calorie sweetener option.
  • Mint, lime or watermelon wedges for garnish Use as garnish when serving.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Place watermelon, sweetener, and 1 cup of water into a high-speed blender. Blend well.
  2. Test the sweetness, add more sweetener if desired, then blend again.
  3. Strain the liquid into a pitcher and add the remaining 1 cup of water.
  4. Serve over ice and add fresh lime juice to each glass.
  5. Garnish with your choice of lime wheels, mint, or watermelon wedges.

Notes

Taste as you go; the sweetness of watermelon varies with ripeness. Straining for a smoother drink is optional. For best taste, drink within 24-48 hours after making.
