  • 1 cup granulated sugar Use good quality granulated sugar.
  • 1 cup water Filtered water is preferred.
  • 1 tbsp pure vanilla extract Ensure it's pure vanilla extract for the best flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Combine the sugar and water in a medium saucepan.
  2. Place the saucepan on medium heat, and whisk until the sugar is completely dissolved, about 3 to 4 minutes.
  3. Remove the saucepan from heat once the sugar has dissolved.
  4. Stir in the pure vanilla extract until evenly distributed.
  5. Allow the syrup to cool slightly for 10-15 minutes.
  6. Pour the syrup into a clean bottle or mason jar for storage.

Notes

Store the syrup in the refrigerator for up to two weeks. Ensure the container is clean and dry before use.
