  • 1 ¼ cup white chocolate chips Use regular chocolate chips if preferred.
  • 1 ¼ cup heavy cream For best creaminess.
  • 3 ½ cup half & half Avoid boiling to prevent curdling.
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 tsp red food coloring Use carefully for color.
For topping
  • whipped cream Add chocolate shavings or sprinkles for decoration.

Preparation
  1. Gather all your ingredients and equipment.
  2. In a medium saucepan, add the heavy cream and white chocolate chips.
  3. Heat the mixture over low to medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the chocolate chips melt completely.
  4. Once melted, stir in the half & half and vanilla gently.
  5. Cook until the mixture is heated through, being careful not to boil it.
  6. Stir in the red food coloring and mix well until evenly colored.
  7. Pour the hot chocolate into glasses or mugs.
  8. Top each glass with whipped cream and optional decorations like chocolate shavings.
