Ingredients

Sauce Base
  • 1 cup Mayonnaise (full-fat)
  • 2 tbsp Chili Sauce (like Heinz)
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 tsp Smoked Paprika
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Cayenne Pepper (or to taste)
Finishing Touches
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 2 tbsp Pickle Relish (sweet or dill) Your preference
  • 1 tbsp Green Onion (finely chopped)
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper (freshly ground) Add to taste

Method

Preparation
  1. In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise, chili sauce, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper.
  2. Add the lemon juice, pickle relish, and finely chopped green onion to the bowl.
  3. Whisk all ingredients together until thoroughly combined and the sauce is smooth and creamy. If desired, add black pepper to taste.
  4. Taste and adjust seasonings as needed. Add more cayenne pepper for extra heat, or a touch more lemon juice for tanginess.
  5. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together. For best results, chill for at least 2 hours.
  6. Serve chilled as a dipping sauce, spread, or drizzled over your favorite foods.

Notes

Store the sauce in an airtight container in the fridge for up to one week. For best flavor, consume within the first few days. Freezing is not recommended due to changes in texture.
