- Toast the cinnamon sticks in a small saucepan over medium heat, turning them every minute for about 5 minutes until fragrant and golden.
- Carefully pour in the water and add both sugars to the saucepan, stirring until completely dissolved.
- Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer and let it simmer for another 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let the cinnamon sticks steep in the syrup for about 10 minutes.
- Strain the syrup to remove the cinnamon sticks, transfer to a container, and refrigerate.
Notes
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. Shake before use.
