Preparation
- Wash the strawberries, remove the green tops, and cut them in half.
- Remove the rind from the watermelon and cut it into small pieces.
Blending
- Place the strawberries and watermelon in the blender.
- Blitz until smooth, which usually takes about 30 seconds.
- Check the texture; if you want it thinner, add a little water and blend again.
Serving
- Pour into one large glass or two small glasses.
- Serve cold. Add ice if desired, and consider topping with fresh fruit or a mint leaf.
Notes
The smoothie can be served as a breakfast drink, a snack, or a refreshing treat on a hot day. Leftover smoothie can be stored in the fridge for a day or frozen in ice cube trays for future use.
