Ingredients

For the Dough
  • 2.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet instant yeast (2 ¼ teaspoons)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 cup warm water (about 110°F)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
For the Toppings
  • 1.5 cups marinara sauce (or pizza sauce of your choice)
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • your favorite toppings (pepperoni, bell peppers, olives, etc.) Use any toppings you prefer.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, yeast, salt, and sugar. Mix these dry ingredients well.
  2. Gradually add warm water and olive oil, stirring until the mixture forms a rough dough.
  3. On a clean surface, knead the dough for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic. If the dough feels sticky, sprinkle a little more flour as needed.
  4. Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl and cover it with a clean towel. Let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until it has doubled in size.
  5. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
  6. If you like, line your sheet pan with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
  7. Once the dough has risen, punch it down to remove excess air. Roll it out to fit the size of your baking sheet. If it is too elastic, let it rest for a few minutes before rolling again.
  8. After placing the dough on the sheet pan, spread the marinara sauce evenly over the surface.
  9. Then sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
  10. Add your favorite toppings.
  11. Place the sheet pan in the preheated oven. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and slightly golden.
  12. Once baked, take the pizza out of the oven. Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing into squares.

Notes

Leftover sheet pan pizza can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for about 3-4 days. To freeze, cut into slices and wrap each slice in plastic wrap.
