Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 cup brewed coffee or 1 shot of espresso
  • 1 cup milk of your choice (whole, almond, oat, etc.) Can customize with any type of milk.
  • 2 tablespoons caramel sauce Plus extra for drizzling.
  • 1 tablespoon sugar Brown sugar works well.
  • pinch sea salt For enhancing flavor.
  • whipped cream Optional for topping.

Method

Preparation
  1. Brew Your Coffee: Start by brewing a cup of your favorite coffee or pulling a shot of espresso.
  2. Heat the Milk: In a small saucepan, heat the milk over low to medium heat. Make sure not to boil it. Stir occasionally to keep it from burning.
  3. Add Caramel: Once the milk is warm, whisk in the caramel sauce until it is well mixed and creamy.
  4. Combine: Pour the brewed coffee into a large mug. Then, gently pour the caramel milk mixture over the coffee. Stir together.
  5. Sweeten: Add the sugar and stir until it is fully dissolved.
  6. Brûlée the Top (Optional): Sprinkle a thin layer of sugar over the top of the latte. Use a kitchen torch to caramelize the sugar until it turns golden brown and crunchy. Be careful not to burn it!
  7. Finish It Off: If you like, top it with whipped cream and drizzle more caramel over the top. Sprinkle a pinch of sea salt for extra flavor.
  8. Serve: Enjoy your Salted Caramel Brûlée Latte warm!
