  • 2 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons loose black tea or 2 tea bags
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons sugar adjust to taste
  • 1-2 tablespoons dried rose petals or rose extract
  • Cardamom pods optional, for extra flavor

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a saucepan, bring water to a boil.
  2. Add the black tea and rose petals (or rose extract) to the boiling water. Let it simmer for 5-7 minutes.
  3. Add sugar and stir until dissolved.
  4. Pour in the milk and let the mixture come to a boil again.
  5. Strain the tea into cups and serve hot, garnished with additional rose petals if desired.

Notes

Rose tea can be served hot or cold, with variations like iced tea or spiced tea. Store any leftover tea in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.
