Method
Prepare the Rose Syrup
- In a small pot, combine water and sugar over medium heat, stirring occasionally until dissolved.
- Turn the heat to low, add rose petals, and stir until all are wet.
- Leave on low heat, stirring occasionally until most of the color fades from the petals, about 10 minutes.
- Remove from heat and steep for an additional 10 minutes.
- Strain the syrup and let it cool.
Combine the Drink
- In a pitcher, combine the cooled rose syrup, freshly squeezed lemon juice, and sparkling water; stir gently until blended.
Serve
- Serve the Rose Lemonade cold in ice-filled glasses, garnished with lemon slices or edible rose petals.
Notes
Store the rose syrup in a sealed jar in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. The mixed lemonade should be consumed within 2 days for optimal fizz. For meal prep, freeze the rose syrup in ice cube trays.
