Ingredients
  

Rose Syrup
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup edible dried rose petals Make sure they are not treated with chemicals.
  • 3/4 cup sugar Can substitute with erythritol or stevia for a healthier version.
Lemonade Mix
  • 1.5 cups freshly squeezed lemon juice Use fresh lemons for the best flavor.
  • 5-6 cups sparkling water Adjust based on desired strength of flavor.

Method
 

Prepare the Rose Syrup
  1. In a small pot, combine water and sugar over medium heat, stirring occasionally until dissolved.
  2. Turn the heat to low, add rose petals, and stir until all are wet.
  3. Leave on low heat, stirring occasionally until most of the color fades from the petals, about 10 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and steep for an additional 10 minutes.
  5. Strain the syrup and let it cool.
Combine the Drink
  1. In a pitcher, combine the cooled rose syrup, freshly squeezed lemon juice, and sparkling water; stir gently until blended.
Serve
  1. Serve the Rose Lemonade cold in ice-filled glasses, garnished with lemon slices or edible rose petals.

Notes

Store the rose syrup in a sealed jar in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. The mixed lemonade should be consumed within 2 days for optimal fizz. For meal prep, freeze the rose syrup in ice cube trays.
