Proper Strawberry Milk

Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 300 ml dairy-free milk of your choice
  • 2 tsp honey or maple syrup Use maple syrup for a vegan option.
  • 315 g frozen strawberries Fresh strawberries can be used but may require more sweetener.

Method
 

Cooking the Strawberries
  1. Place the strawberries and sweetener in a pan over low heat.
  2. Cook for 10 minutes or until the strawberries are nice and mushy, stirring occasionally.
  3. Set aside to cool.
Blending
  1. Place the strawberry mixture and dairy-free milk in a blender.
  2. Blitz until smooth.
Serving
  1. Pour into a big glass or two smaller glasses and enjoy.
  2. Optional: Top with whipped coconut cream and a sprinkle of freeze-dried strawberry powder.

Notes

If you have any leftover strawberry milk, store it in a covered container in the refrigerator for up to two days or freeze it in an ice cube tray for later use in smoothies or frozen treats.
