  • 2 cups Milk (whole, almond, oat, etc.) Any milk of choice can be used.
  • 1 teaspoon Peppermint extract A little goes a long way; use sparingly.
  • 1 cup Whipped cream Optional topping.
  • to taste Chocolate syrup or shavings for garnish For a fancy look.

Preparation
  1. Warm the milk in a small pot or microwave until just steamy, avoiding boiling.
  2. Whisk in the cocoa powder and sugar until well mixed.
  3. Add the hot coffee and a small splash of peppermint extract, stirring to combine.
  4. Pour the mixture into your favorite mug.
  5. Top with whipped cream and optionally sprinkle with chocolate shavings or drizzle with chocolate syrup.

Notes

Feel free to customize your mocha by adjusting the sweetness or using different types of milk. If using peppermint syrup instead of extract, adjust the amount to taste.
