Preparation
- In a medium-sized saucepan, pour in the 2 cups of milk or water. Bring it to a gentle boil over medium heat.
- Once the milk is boiling, add the 1 cup of rolled oats to the saucepan and stir well.
- Continue cooking the oats on low heat for about 5 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally until the oats absorb the milk to your desired consistency.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and add the 2 tablespoons of peanut butter and a pinch of salt. Stir until the peanut butter is fully mixed in.
- Spoon the porridge into a bowl.
- Top with 2 tablespoons of jelly and any optional toppings like sliced bananas, chopped nuts, or berries.
Notes
Store leftovers in airtight containers; lasts 2-3 days in the refrigerator. For freezing, let it cool completely before storing in freezer-proof containers for up to a month.
