Ingredients
  

Porridge Base
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 2 cups milk or water Use almond milk or oat milk for a dairy-free option.
  • 1 pinch salt Enhances flavor.
Flavor Additions
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter Can substitute with almond or sunflower seed butter.
  • 2 tablespoons jelly Any flavor preferred.
Optional Toppings
  • sliced bananas For added sweetness and nutrition.
  • chopped nuts Enhances texture.
  • berries Use fresh or frozen as desired.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a medium-sized saucepan, pour in the 2 cups of milk or water. Bring it to a gentle boil over medium heat.
  2. Once the milk is boiling, add the 1 cup of rolled oats to the saucepan and stir well.
  3. Continue cooking the oats on low heat for about 5 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally until the oats absorb the milk to your desired consistency.
  4. Remove the saucepan from heat and add the 2 tablespoons of peanut butter and a pinch of salt. Stir until the peanut butter is fully mixed in.
  5. Spoon the porridge into a bowl.
  6. Top with 2 tablespoons of jelly and any optional toppings like sliced bananas, chopped nuts, or berries.

Notes

Store leftovers in airtight containers; lasts 2-3 days in the refrigerator. For freezing, let it cool completely before storing in freezer-proof containers for up to a month.
