Ham and Glaze Ingredients
  • 1 Jones Dairy Farm Hickory Smoked Ham Use any pre-cooked smoked ham if preference varies.
  • 1 cup orange marmalade Adds citrus notes to the glaze.
  • 1 cup light brown sugar, packed For sweetness and caramel flavor.
  • 1/2 cup honey Adds sweetness and stickiness.
  • 1 tablespoon dijon mustard Gives a tangy balance to sweetness.
  • whole cloves For scoring the ham, adds spice.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
  2. Remove ham from all packaging and place it fat side up on a large cutting board.
  3. Score the ham in a diamond pattern with 1/4-inch deep cuts and place one whole clove in the center of each diamond.
  4. Place the ham in a large roasting pan, scored side up, and cover with aluminum foil.
Cooking
  1. Cook according to package directions, about 13-15 minutes per pound, until internal temperature reaches 140 degrees F.
  2. Combine orange marmalade, brown sugar, honey, and dijon mustard in a small bowl and keep warm.
  3. Halfway through cooking time, remove aluminum foil and baste ham with the warm glaze.
  4. Repeat basting every 20-30 minutes until the ham is fully cooked.
  5. Remove ham from oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

For a glossy finish, baste frequently and use warm glaze while cooking. Store leftover ham in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
