Preparation of Dough
- In a bowl, mix the plain flour, baking powder, and sea salt.
- Stir in the Greek olive oil and chopped Kalamata olives until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for a few minutes, then divide it into 8 equal pieces.
- Roll each piece into a flat circle.
Cooking
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook each flatbread for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden and cooked through.
- Serve warm, sprinkled with za'atar.
Notes
These flatbreads are great for dipping into hummus, tzatziki, or used in sandwiches. They can be stored at room temperature or frozen for later use.
