Dough Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (e.g., mozzarella or cheddar) Choose your favorite melting cheese.
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 cup warm water Make sure it’s warm but not hot.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, yeast, salt, and garlic powder.
  3. Add the warm water and olive oil, then mix until a sticky dough forms.
  4. Fold in the shredded cheese and minced garlic.
  5. Scoop the batter into a greased 9 by 13 inch pan and spread it evenly.
  6. Allow the dough to rise in a warm place for 30 minutes.
Baking
  1. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until golden brown.
  2. Let it cool slightly before cutting into strips for breadsticks or serving as flatbread.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days or freeze for longer storage. Reheat after thawing.
