Preparation of Layers
- Place the frozen banana and 60 ml of dairy-free milk in your blender. Blend until smooth. This will be your first layer.
- Pour the banana mixture into a glass. Then, place it in the freezer for about 10 minutes to help it set.
- For the chocolate layer, add 60 ml of dairy-free milk, 2 tablespoons of dairy-free yogurt, 1 teaspoon of cocoa powder, and 1 teaspoon of honey or maple syrup to a clean blender. Blend until smooth.
- Carefully pour the chocolate mixture on top of the banana layer and return the glass to the freezer for another 10 minutes.
- Blend together 60 ml of dairy-free milk and 3 tablespoons of frozen strawberries until smooth.
- Once the chocolate layer is set, gently pour the strawberry mixture on top.
- Optionally, top with whipped coconut cream and a drizzle of dairy-free chocolate sauce.
Notes
Serve in a tall glass with a straw and garnish with sliced strawberries or a sprinkle of cocoa powder. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for a few hours, but best enjoyed immediately. Freezing is possible, but it may change the texture.
