  • 16 oz frozen mangos Use ripe frozen mangos for best flavor.
  • 1 cup mango nectar or juice Unsweetened options are healthier.
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice Adds a refreshing tang.
  • 1 cup ice Crushed ice works best.
Toppings and Garnishes
  • to taste Chili lime seasoning Optional for flavor.
  • to taste Chamoy A Mexican sauce made from pickled fruit.
  • 1 fresh mango cut into small chunks For topping.
  • as needed Tamarindo candy straws (Tarugos) For garnish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Add the frozen mango, mango nectar, lime juice, and ice into your blender.
  2. Cover the blender and puree on medium speed until smooth, about 1 minute.
  3. On two small plates, pour chili lime powder on one and chamoy on the other.
  4. Dip the edge of the cup into the chamoy, then coat the rim with chili lime powder.
  5. Swirl some chamoy on the sides of the cup for decoration.
  6. Pour a generous amount of the blended mixture into the cup.
  7. Top with fresh mango chunks and sprinkle additional chili lime powder if desired.
  8. For an extra treat, add more chamoy on top.
  9. Garnish each glass with a tamarind candy stick and a thick straw or spoon.
  10. Enjoy your refreshing Mango Slushie immediately!

Notes

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the freezer for up to a week. Thaw slightly before serving.
