- In a small saucepan, combine granulated sugar, water, and chopped macadamia nuts. Stir gently to mix.
- Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a simmer, avoiding boiling.
- Once simmering, let it cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and strain the nuts from the syrup using a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth.
- Allow the syrup to cool at room temperature for approximately 15 minutes.
- Transfer the cooled syrup into a storage container.
Notes
Store your homemade macadamia nut syrup in the fridge for up to 2 weeks. For longer storage, consider freezing in smaller containers.
