Coffee Base
  • 8-10 ounces Freshly brewed coffee Your favorite roast
Maca Coffee Mixture
  • 1 teaspoon Maca powder Start small if you’re new to it
  • 1-2 teaspoons Sweetener (maple syrup or honey) Optional
  • 2-4 tablespoons Milk or dairy-free alternative Adjust to taste
  • 1 pinch Cinnamon or cocoa Optional but wonderful
  • 1 small pinch Sea salt Optional, enhances sweetness and depth

Preparation
  1. Brew your coffee the way you like it. Medium to strong works best to balance maca’s gentle sweetness.
  2. In your mug, whisk 1 teaspoon of maca powder with a tablespoon of warm coffee until smooth.
  3. Pour in the rest of the coffee. Stir in sweetener if using.
  4. Add milk or a dairy-free alternative. Froth if you like that latte feel.
  5. Finish with a tiny pinch of cinnamon or cocoa and a tiny pinch of salt. Stir and sip.

Notes

For a cozy twist, add a little vanilla extract or nutmeg. If you enjoy iced coffee, dissolve maca in a tablespoon of hot coffee first, then add cold brew and ice. Keep the coffee strong for balanced flavor.
