  • 1/2 medium onion Thinly sliced.
  • 2 to 3 cups sliced mushrooms Fresh mushrooms recommended.
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire-style sauce Ensure it is gluten-free if necessary.
  • 8 ounces provolone cheese, shredded Use part-skim for a lighter version.
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
For seasoning
  • Salt, to taste

Preparation

  2. Season and sear the steak in a skillet or pan, then let it rest.

  4. Slice the steak thinly against the grain.
  5. Layer fries on a baking sheet, add cheese, steak, and cooked vegetables.
  6. Broil until cheese is melted and bubbly, about 1-2 minutes.
  7. After broiling, let the tray sit for one to two minutes, then serve.
