Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, combine almond flour, coconut flour, and salt.
- Add the melted butter and egg, and mix until a dough forms.
- If making a sweet pie, add sweetener and mix well.
- Divide the dough in half for two single crusts or leave whole for a double crust.
- Press the dough into pie plates evenly.
- Prick the bottom with a fork to prevent bubbling.
- Bake for 10-15 minutes or until lightly golden.
- Allow to cool before adding your desired filling.
Notes
Store in the fridge for up to a week or freeze for up to three months. Variations for a healthier or higher protein version can be made.
