Iced Latte with Homemade Cinnamon Syrup

Ingredients
  

For the Cold Brew Coffee
  • 50 g ground coffee
  • 500 ml cold water
For the Cinnamon Syrup
  • 50 g brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 50 g honey or maple syrup Can substitute based on preference.
  • 60 ml water
For the Iced Latte Assembly
  • 125 ml cold brew coffee Prepared from the previous steps.
  • 2 tbsp cinnamon syrup Homemade syrup from the previous steps.
  • 125 ml dairy-free milk Use your preferred type of milk.
  • none Crushed ice To fill the glass.

Method
 

Prepare the Cold Brew Coffee
  1. Place the ground coffee and 500 ml of cold water in a jar.
  2. Stir the mixture well.
  3. Leave it at room temperature for 8 hours.
Strain the Coffee
  1. After 8 hours, strain the coffee using a fine sieve or a French press.
  2. Store the cold brew coffee in the fridge until you are ready to use it.
Make the Cinnamon Syrup
  1. In a saucepan, combine the brown sugar, ground cinnamon, honey or maple syrup, and 60 ml of water.
  2. Place the saucepan over medium heat.
  3. Cook and stir occasionally for about 5 minutes until well combined.
  4. Remove from heat and allow to cool.
  5. Store in an airtight jar in the fridge.
Assemble the Iced Latte
  1. In a large glass, pour 125 ml of cold brew coffee.
  2. Stir in 2 tablespoons of cinnamon syrup.
  3. Add crushed ice to fill the glass.
  4. Slowly pour in 125 ml of dairy-free milk and stir gently to mix.

Notes

For serving, add a straw and a sprinkle of ground cinnamon. Store cold brew coffee in an airtight container for up to a week and cinnamon syrup for two weeks in the fridge.
