Iced Dubai Chocolate Matcha (Starbucks Copycat)

Ingredients
  

For the Cold Foam
  • 2 tablespoon heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon whole milk
  • 1 tablespoon mocha sauce (or chocolate syrup)
For the Matcha Mix
  • 1.5 teaspoon pure matcha powder, sifted Sifted to remove clumps
  • 3 tablespoon hot water
For the Drink
  • 1 cup milk of choice Can use low-fat or plant-based milk
  • 2 tablespoon pistachio sauce
  • ice ice
  • to taste toasted Kataifi Optional for topping

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Make the cold foam by adding heavy cream, whole milk, and mocha sauce to a small glass or mason jar and froth for 20-30 seconds until foamy. Set aside.
  2. Sift matcha powder using a fine mesh strainer and whisk it with hot water until smooth. Set aside.
  3. Add ice to a tall glass.
  4. Stir milk and pistachio sauce together until no clumps remain, then pour over the ice.
  5. Add the matcha mixture and stir until combined.
  6. Top with the chocolate cold foam and toasted Kataifi if desired. Serve chilled.

Notes

For a healthier version, use low-fat milk and sugar-free syrup. For high protein, add whey protein to the pistachio milk. Best served fresh, do not freeze the cold foam.
