Ingredients
  

For the Cold Foam
  • 3 tablespoon heavy cream
  • 1.5 tablespoon banana bread syrup
  • 1 tablespoon whole milk
For the Matcha Mixture
  • 1.5 teaspoon pure matcha powder, sifted
  • 3 tablespoon hot water
For the Drink
  • 1 cup milk of choice
  • 2 tablespoon brown sugar syrup
  • ice ice
  • crushed maple sugar (optional for topping)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Make the cold foam by adding heavy cream, banana bread syrup, and whole milk to a small glass or jar. Froth with a milk frother for 20-30 seconds until foamy.
  2. In a small microwave-safe jar or glass, heat hot water until boiling (30-45 seconds in the microwave). Sift matcha into the hot water and whisk until smooth and slightly foamy.
Assembly
  1. Add ice to a tall glass, pour in milk and brown sugar syrup, and stir to combine.
  2. Add the matcha mixture and stir again.
  3. Top with cold foam and crushed maple sugar if desired.

Notes

This drink is best fresh. Store cold foam in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 24 hours. Store the milk and matcha mixture separately in the fridge for up to 24 hours as well. Do not freeze the full drink.
