Homemade Strawberry Lemonade

Ingredients
  

For the lemonade
  • 500 ml water Use cold for serving.
  • 55 ml maple syrup Adjust sweetness to taste.
  • 125 ml freshly squeezed lemon juice Freshly squeezed for best flavor.
  • 200 g strawberries Fresh strawberries are recommended.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Place the water and maple syrup in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil.
  3. Add the strawberries to the boiling mixture.
  4. Simmer for 10 minutes or until the strawberries are all mushy.
  5. Set the strawberry mixture aside to cool.
  6. Pour the cooled strawberry mixture and the lemon juice into a blender.
  7. Blend until smooth.
  8. Serve the strawberry lemonade over ice.

Notes

Store leftover lemonade in the fridge for up to 3 days. You can freeze it in ice cube trays for longer preservation.
