Ingredients
  

For the Mocha Latte
  • 1 cup milk of choice Any type of milk can be used, including dairy or plant-based.
  • 2 tablespoon chocolate chips Dark or white chocolate chips can also be used.
  • 2 tablespoon vanilla syrup Feel free to use flavored syrups for variation.
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder Enhances the chocolate flavor.
  • 2 oz espresso or freshly brewed coffee For a stronger coffee flavor, use espresso.
  • to taste serving whipped cream Optional for garnish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Start by taking a small saucepan and place it on the stove.
  2. Add 1 cup of your choice of milk to the saucepan.
  3. Pour in 2 tablespoons of chocolate chips.
  4. Add 2 tablespoons of vanilla syrup for sweetness.
  5. Sprinkle in 1 tablespoon of unsweetened cocoa powder.
  6. Turn on the heat to medium-low and whisk the ingredients together.
  7. Keep whisking frequently until the chocolate chips are melted and the mixture is smooth.
  8. Once smooth, remove the saucepan from the heat.
  9. Froth the chocolate milk mixture until airy using a milk frother. Set aside.
  10. Brew 2 oz of espresso or prepare 8 oz of freshly brewed coffee in a mug.
  11. Pour the frothed chocolate milk mixture over the hot espresso or coffee.
  12. If desired, add whipped cream on top for an extra treat.
  13. Stir gently and enjoy your homemade mocha latte!

Notes

For serving, add cocoa powder or chocolate shavings on top. This mocha latte can also be chilled and served over ice. Store any leftovers in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to two days.
