Ingredients

Slider Components
  • 12 pieces sweet dinner rolls
  • 1/3 cup cranberry sauce can use low-sugar for a healthier option
  • 12 slices deli turkey breast can substitute with lean ham
  • 12 slices Swiss cheese reduced-fat option can be used
  • 6 slices mozzarella cheese can use part-skim for a lighter version
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted light butter can be substituted
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F. Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Using a long knife, slice the rolls in half horizontally, keeping them connected. Place the bottom half into the prepared baking dish.
  3. Spread the cranberry sauce evenly over the rolls.
  4. Layer the turkey evenly over the cranberry sauce, creating two layers if needed.
  5. Arrange the Swiss cheese over the turkey, then add a single layer of mozzarella cheese on top.
  6. Place the top half of the rolls back over the filling.
  7. Brush the melted butter generously over the tops of the rolls and sprinkle with poppy seeds.
  8. Bake uncovered for about 20 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted and the tops are lightly golden.
  9. Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, then slice and serve warm.

Notes

For a balanced plate, serve with a crisp side salad or raw vegetables. Store cooled sliders in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. Reheat at 325°F for 10–12 minutes or in the microwave until warm.
