- Wash the guavas thoroughly, then remove the ends and slice them in halves.
- Place the guava into a blender and add the water. Blend until you have a smooth puree.
- Using a fine mesh strainer placed over a large container, strain the puree to remove the seeds.
- Transfer the juice to a pitcher, add the sugar, and mix until it dissolves.
- Squeeze fresh lime juice into the mixture, combine, and taste. Adjust sweetness if necessary.
- Refrigerate the Agua de Guayaba until well chilled before serving.
Notes
Serve cold with ice and a garnish of lime or mint. Can be made into variations by adjusting sweetness or adding fruit blends.
