Asparagus Preparation
  • 1 pound asparagus spears Look for firm, bright green spears.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil Drizzle over asparagus to prevent sticking.
  • 1 tablespoon kosher salt Enhances the natural flavor.

Method
 

Grilling
  1. Preheat your grill to high heat, about 400 to 450 degrees F.
  2. Wash the asparagus and trim the bottoms.
  3. Drizzle the asparagus with olive oil and sprinkle with kosher salt; toss to coat.
  4. Grill the asparagus for about 2 minutes on each side until slightly charred, cooking to your desired tenderness.
  5. Serve warm with optional lemon juice for a bright finish.

Notes

Leftover asparagus can be stored in the fridge for 3 to 4 days. To freeze, blanch first and then pack into freezer bags. Reheat quickly for best texture.
