Ingredients

Coffee and Milk Mixture
  • 1 cup brewed coffee Brewed and cooled to room temperature.
  • 1/2 cup milk Regular milk or any preferred dairy-free alternative.
  • 1 tablespoon gingerbread syrup Store-bought or homemade.
  • 1 tablespoon sugar Adjust to taste.
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • Ice ice cubes For serving.
  • To taste whipped cream For topping.

Method

Preparation
  1. Brew the coffee and let it cool. Start by making one cup of coffee in your coffee maker. Once it's brewed, set it aside to cool down to room temperature.
  2. Mix your ingredients. In a separate container, combine the milk, gingerbread syrup, sugar, vanilla extract, ground ginger, ground cinnamon, and nutmeg. Stir this mixture until everything is well combined.
  3. Prepare your glass. Take a tall glass and fill it halfway with ice cubes.
  4. Combine the coffee and milk mixture. Pour the cooled coffee over the ice in your glass. After that, add the milk mixture on top of the coffee.
  5. Stir well to combine. Use a spoon to stir your drink until the coffee and milk are blended well and the sugar is dissolved.
  6. Top with whipped cream. Finally, add a generous dollop of whipped cream on top. If you like, you can sprinkle a little cinnamon on top for extra flavor.

Notes

Gingerbread iced coffee is best enjoyed fresh. If you have leftover coffee, you can store it in the fridge for a day, but the ice will dilute it if you wait too long. Gingerbread syrup or the milk mixture can be prepared ahead and stored in the fridge for about a week.
