Preparation
- In a skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Add 4 cloves of minced garlic to the skillet. Cook for about 3 minutes until fragrant.
- Gradually whisk in 2 tablespoons of flour, then add 1/4 teaspoon each of dried oregano, ground black pepper, and salt.
- Pour in 1.5 cups of half & half while whisking constantly until bubbly and thickened, about 3 minutes.
Notes
This sauce can also be served as a dip for breadsticks or over grilled vegetables. Alter the flavor with added cheese or herbs as desired. Store any leftovers in an airtight container.
