  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For cooking garlic.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Provides the main flavor.
  • 2-3 tablespoons flour Used to thicken the sauce.
  • 1.5 cups half & half (or milk) Can substitute with whole milk or almond milk.
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano Offers an herbaceous flavor.
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper For seasoning.
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt For flavor enhancement.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat.
  2. Add 4 cloves of minced garlic to the skillet. Cook for about 3 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Gradually whisk in 2 tablespoons of flour, then add 1/4 teaspoon each of dried oregano, ground black pepper, and salt.
  4. Pour in 1.5 cups of half & half while whisking constantly until bubbly and thickened, about 3 minutes.

Notes

This sauce can also be served as a dip for breadsticks or over grilled vegetables. Alter the flavor with added cheese or herbs as desired. Store any leftovers in an airtight container.
