Preparation
- In a mixing bowl, crack the eggs and whisk them until blended. Add the milk, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon. Mix until smooth.
- Take one slice of bread and dip it into the egg mixture. Ensure both sides are well-coated. Allow the bread to soak briefly.
Cooking
- Heat a frying pan over medium heat and add a little butter or oil. Once hot, place the soaked bread slice into the pan. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until golden brown, then flip and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes.
- Repeat with the remaining slices of bread, adding more butter or oil as needed.
Serving
- Arrange cooked French toast slices on a plate. Top with sliced bananas, fresh blueberries, and chopped walnuts. Sprinkle extra cinnamon if desired.
- Drizzle with maple syrup, if desired, and serve warm.
Notes
Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 2 days. For longer storage, freeze wrapped in plastic for up to a month. Adapt toppings based on availability.
