  • cup espresso roast coffee beans (medium-fine ground) Freshly ground for best flavor.
  • 1 cup water Use filtered water for the best taste.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Grind your espresso roast coffee beans to a medium-fine grind.
  2. Pour the ground coffee into your French press, spreading the grounds evenly.
  3. Bring 1 cup of water to a simmer on the stovetop.
  4. Remove the water from heat and pour a few splashes into the French press to wet the coffee grounds. Swirl gently and allow to sit for 30 seconds.
  5. Pour the remaining water into the French press and swirl again to soak the grounds.
  6. Place the lid on the French press without pressing the plunger down, and let the coffee steep for 4 minutes.
Finishing
  1. After 4 minutes, slowly press the plunger down and pour the brewed espresso into your favorite mug.

Notes

For serving, enjoy straight or with additions like sugar, milk, or flavored syrups. Pair with desserts or serve over ice for iced espresso. Best consumed fresh but can be refrigerated for up to 3 days.
