Ingredients
  

For Frying
  • 1 cup oil for frying, or as needed Use oil with a high smoke point
  • 1 large egg, beaten
Coating
  • 0.5 (8.5 ounce) bag spicy cheese-flavored cornmeal snack (such as Cheetos Flamin' Hot) Crushed into crumbs
  • 0.25 teaspoon cayenne pepper Adjust according to spice preference

  • 12 slices dill pickles, such as Vlasic Dill Stackers Pat dry before frying

Preparation
  1. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large saucepan to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Place beaten egg in a flat dish.
  3. Place Cheetos and cayenne in a food processor and pulse until crumbs are achieved.
  4. Pour Cheeto crumbs into a separate bowl.
  5. Dip a pickle slice in the egg and coat with the Cheetos crumb mixture.
  6. Transfer the coated slice to a plate and repeat with remaining pickle slices.
Cooking
  1. Fry pickle slices in the hot oil, working in batches, for 3 minutes.
  2. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate and let sit for 2 minutes for final crisping.

Notes

Serve hot for the best crunch. For a healthier dip, mix plain Greek yogurt with lemon juice, chopped dill, and a dash of hot sauce.
