Preparation
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or large saucepan to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Place beaten egg in a flat dish.
- Place Cheetos and cayenne in a food processor and pulse until crumbs are achieved.
- Pour Cheeto crumbs into a separate bowl.
- Dip a pickle slice in the egg and coat with the Cheetos crumb mixture.
- Transfer the coated slice to a plate and repeat with remaining pickle slices.
Cooking
- Fry pickle slices in the hot oil, working in batches, for 3 minutes.
- Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate and let sit for 2 minutes for final crisping.
Notes
Serve hot for the best crunch. For a healthier dip, mix plain Greek yogurt with lemon juice, chopped dill, and a dash of hot sauce.
