Preparation
- In a blender, add 4 cups of the watermelon chunks with 1 cup of water. Blend on high speed until smooth.
- Transfer the drink to a pitcher. If using seeded watermelon, pass the juice through a fine mesh strainer to remove blended seeds.
- Repeat the process with the remaining watermelon.
- Add the 1/2 cup sugar and lime juice to the pitcher, mix well, and taste for sweetness. Adjust sugar to taste.
- Pour into tall glasses filled with ice and garnish with fresh watermelon if desired. Best consumed within 1 to 2 days.
Notes
For a light adult version, add a splash of sparkling water or light rum. To keep it healthy, skip alcohol and use soda water. Pair with protein snacks for balanced nutrition.
