Preparation
- Place the lime and sweetener of choice into a tall glass or mason jar.
- Muddle for about 1 minute to release the juice from the lime.
- Clap the mint leaves in your hands a few times to release the scent, then place them in the glass.
- Press gently with the muddler 2-3 times.
- Add non-alcoholic rum if using, then top with sparkling water and ice.
- Stir gently and garnish with slices of lime or some extra mint before serving.
Notes
Store leftover mix without ice in an airtight jar in the fridge for up to 24 hours, but consume fresh for the best flavor. Pair it with a high protein meal for a balanced dietary choice.
