Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk 14 oz
  • 2 cups chocolate chips semisweet
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon butter or cooking spray for greasing the pan
Optional Add-ins
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans optional

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Get out and measure all of your ingredients.
  2. Butter or spray a square 8x8 or 9x9 pan and line with parchment paper.
Cooking
  1. In a microwave safe bowl heat chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk on high for 1 minute and 30 seconds.
  2. Remove from microwave. Let sit for 1 minute and then stir to combine.
  3. If needed, put back in the microwave and heat an additional 30 seconds.
  4. Stir until chips are completely melted and chocolate is smooth.
  5. Add vanilla extract and combine.
  6. Add walnuts or pecans, if using.
  7. Pour fudge into prepared pan.
  8. Place pan in fridge for at least an hour to cool and set.
Serving
  1. Once cooled completely, remove from fridge and cut the fudge into squares.
  2. Serve at room temperature.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. For longer storage, freeze wrapped pieces in wax paper.
