  • 200 g dark chocolate (at least 70% cocoa)
  • 150 g unsalted butter
  • 250 g granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 125 g all-purpose flour
  • 1 pinch salt
Optional Additions
  • nuts, chocolate chips, or spices like cinnamon For added flavor

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Line the baking pan with parchment paper.
  3. Melt the dark chocolate and unsalted butter together, either in the microwave or over a double boiler.
  4. Once smooth, stir in the granulated sugar until fully combined.
  5. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then mix in the vanilla extract.
  6. Sift in the all-purpose flour and salt, folding gently until no flour is visible.
  7. Fold in any optional additions like nuts or spices.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes, until the edges are set but the center has a slight jiggle.
  10. Cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then remove and let cool on a cooling rack.
  11. Once cooled completely, cut into squares and serve.

Notes

Store brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for 3 to 5 days. Freeze individually wrapped brownies for up to 3 months.
