Ingredients
  

Main ingredients
  • 1 teaspoon high-quality matcha powder Bright green, not dull.
  • 1 cup milk of choice (dairy or non-dairy) Oat milk for creaminess is recommended.
  • 1 shot espresso Can substitute with instant espresso.
  • 1 teaspoon sweetener (honey or maple syrup) Adjust to taste.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Whisk matcha powder with a splash of hot water until smooth.
  2. Heat milk using your preferred method (microwave or saucepan).
  3. Allow espresso to cool slightly after brewing.
Assembly
  1. Pour the whisked matcha into a tall glass.
  2. Slowly pour in the heated milk, allowing it to float on top.
  3. Gently pour the shot of espresso down the side of the glass or over a spoon to create layers.
  4. Add sweetener to taste and stir gently if desired.

Notes

For a cold version, add ice after pouring the matcha and milk. Experiment with flavors by adding cinnamon or flavored syrups.
