Preparation
- Whisk matcha powder with a splash of hot water until smooth.
- Heat milk using your preferred method (microwave or saucepan).
- Allow espresso to cool slightly after brewing.
Assembly
- Pour the whisked matcha into a tall glass.
- Slowly pour in the heated milk, allowing it to float on top.
- Gently pour the shot of espresso down the side of the glass or over a spoon to create layers.
- Add sweetener to taste and stir gently if desired.
Notes
For a cold version, add ice after pouring the matcha and milk. Experiment with flavors by adding cinnamon or flavored syrups.
