Preparation
  1. Start by slicing the cucumber thinly and sprinkling a little salt on the slices. Let them sit for a few minutes to draw out excess moisture.
  2. In a bowl, mix the cream cheese with some pepper and any fresh herbs you desire.
  3. Spread a generous layer of the cream cheese mixture on a slice of soft bread.
  4. Arrange the cucumber slices on top of the cream cheese.
  5. Top with another slice of bread and gently press down.
  6. Cut into quarters or fingers and serve immediately.

Notes

For serving, keep it simple or add flair with a beautiful platter. Pair with fresh fruit or a veggie platter for a balanced meal. Best enjoyed fresh, ideally within a day or two to avoid sogginess. Not recommended for freezing due to texture changes.
