Preparation
- In a small bowl, mix together the flour, paprika, garlic powder, and black pepper.
- Coat the shrimp evenly with the flour mixture. Cover and refrigerate for 10-15 minutes to help the batter stick.
- In a small saucepan, melt the butter and hot sauce together over medium-high heat. Simmer for about 3-5 minutes, then remove from heat.
Cooking
- Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray or line it with parchment paper.
- Place the shrimp in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
- Set the air fryer to 390°F and cook the shrimp for 5-9 minutes, until they are golden brown and crispy.
- Once cooked, transfer the shrimp to a bowl and toss them in the buffalo sauce.
- Serve the buffalo shrimp with your favorite dipping sauce, celery sticks, and carrot sticks.
Notes
Dry the shrimp before coating to help the flour mix stick better. Do not crowd the air fryer basket. Cook in batches if needed. Toss the shrimp quickly in the sauce so the coating stays crisp.
