Ingredients

For the drink
  • 1 cup limoncello (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 cups cranberry juice, unsweetened or low-sugar Use unsweetened to keep sugar lower.
  • 1 cup sparkling wine or prosecco (for nonalcoholic use sparkling grape juice)
  • 1 cup club soda or sparkling water Use sparkling water for a lighter option.
  • 1/4 cup simple syrup or sugar-free simple syrup Reduce for low calorie.
  • 1 count lemon, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup fresh cranberries or frozen, thawed
  • to taste ice cubes
  • to taste fresh mint or rosemary for garnish (optional)
  • 1 scoop unflavored collagen peptides or whey isolate (for high-protein mocktail version) See variations.

Method

Preparation
  1. Chill all ingredients. Cold drinks taste best and keep bubbles longer.
  2. In a large pitcher, add limoncello, cranberry juice, and simple syrup. Stir well.
  3. Add lemon slices and fresh cranberries to the pitcher. Allow to infuse for 10 minutes.
  4. Just before serving, add sparkling wine and club soda. Stir gently to combine.
  5. Fill each glass with ice. Pour the spritz into glasses, dividing evenly.
  6. Garnish with a lemon wheel and a few cranberries. Add a sprig of mint if you like.
  7. Serve right away so the bubbles stay fresh.

Notes

For a lighter option, use sparkling water and low-sugar cranberry syrup.
