  • 2 cups sweet peas (fresh or frozen) Use thawed frozen peas if using frozen.
  • 4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled Crispy bacon adds great texture.
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded Any cheese of choice can substitute.
  • 1/4 cup red onion, diced Can adjust to taste.
Dressing Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise Can substitute with Greek yogurt.
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar Adds tanginess to the dressing.
  • 1 tablespoon sugar Can reduce or substitute with sugar substitute.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Season to preference.

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, combine the peas, crumbled bacon, shredded cheese, and diced onion.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  3. Pour the dressing over the pea mixture and stir gently to combine.
  4. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

Prepping ahead of time can enhance flavors. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days, but avoid freezing.
