Ingredients
  

For the Dough
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons instant yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
For the Streusel and Filling
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
  • 1/4 cup flour (for streusel)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until bubbly.
  2. Mix in melted butter and egg.
  3. Gradually stir in flour and salt until combined. Knead the dough until smooth.
  4. Let the dough rise in a greased bowl for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix brown sugar, cinnamon, and nuts (if using).
  6. Roll out dough into a rectangle, sprinkle the cinnamon mixture evenly, then roll tightly.
  7. Place in a greased loaf pan and let rise for another 30 minutes.
Baking
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes until golden brown.
  3. Let cool before slicing.

Notes

For a lighter version, reduce sugar or use whole grain flour. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days, or freeze for longer storage.
