Ingredients
  

For the Cinnamon Base
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar or maple syrup Choose based on your sweetness preference.
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon Use fresh, good-quality ground cinnamon.
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract A tiny splash enhances flavor.
  • a pinch salt Optional, boosts sweetness.
For the Latte
  • 1 to 2 shots espresso or strong coffee Brewed fresh for best flavor.
  • 3/4 cup milk of choice Whole milk makes it lush; oat milk gives a creamy finish.

Method
 

Make the Cinnamon Base
  1. In a small saucepan over low heat, warm brown sugar (or maple syrup) with water, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Stir until combined and steamy, about 1 minute.
  2. Turn off heat and stir in vanilla extract to create your cinnamon base.
Brew and Froth
  1. Brew 1 to 2 shots of espresso or 1/2 to 3/4 cup of strong coffee and pour it into your mug.
  2. Warm milk until hot but not boiling, then froth it until soft and foamy.
Assemble and Finish
  1. Stir the cinnamon base into the hot coffee until smooth.
  2. Pour in the steamed milk and spoon foam on top. Sprinkle with a little cinnamon.
  3. Taste and adjust sweetness as needed.

Notes

You can batch the cinnamon base for the week and refrigerate it. It stays good for about a week. Shake before using. For a chilled version, pour the cinnamon base over ice.
