Dry Ingredients
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cups sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Wet Ingredients
  • 0.25 cups unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 0.5 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Coating
  • 0.25 cups sugar for coating
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon for coating

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a doughnut hole pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together melted butter, egg, milk, and vanilla extract.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. Fill each doughnut hole cup about 2/3 full with the batter.
Baking
  1. Bake for 15 to 17 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  2. Let cool slightly before removing from the pan.
Coating
  1. In a small bowl, mix the sugar and cinnamon for coating.
  2. Roll each doughnut hole in the cinnamon sugar mixture while still warm.

Notes

For a balanced snack, serve doughnut holes with fresh fruit and Greek yogurt. For lighter options, enjoy with black coffee or tea.
