Ingredients
  

Coffee Base
  • 4 cups dark roasted ground coffee Use your preferred brand
Spices
  • 8 pieces cinnamon sticks Break into smaller pieces
  • 80 pieces whole allspice berries
  • 40 pieces whole cloves
  • 20 pieces whole black peppercorns

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Begin by pouring the ground coffee into a large jar or container that has a tight-fitting lid.
  2. Take the cinnamon sticks and break them up a bit using your fingers.
  3. Place the broken cinnamon sticks along with the allspice berries, cloves, and black peppercorns into a mortar.
  4. Use a pestle to gently crush the spices, keeping the cinnamon in chunky pieces while the others should be less-than-whole.
  5. Add the crushed spices to the ground coffee in the jar.
  6. Put the lid on the jar and shake it well to combine the coffee and spices.

Notes

Store the blend in a cool, dry place in a tightly sealed jar. Freeze for long-term storage and thaw at room temperature before use. This blend can also be gifted in decorative jars.
